Hello Foundation in Bosnia-Herzegovina
Friday, July 15th 2011
The Hello Foundation traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina in June 2011!
Eleven speech pathologists and one OT worked with families and students
with autism. Just as important, university students of speech pathology joined us to act as our interpreters and observe, ask questions and learn.
The Hello Foundation members gained the experience of a lifetime,
impacting families and professionals halfway around the world.

Hello Scholarships
Since 2005, The Hello Foundation has been providing scholarships to college students. Our United Giving Scholarship fund is another manner in which we model our mission. Our staff collectively donate to the scholarship fund. Our most recent scholarship was awarded to Jeff Gierer in 2009 for the amount of $900.00. He is graduating this year from Portland State University's speech and language Master's program.

Foundation: The basis on which something is grounded.
Our bottom line is grounded in what we share, our time, and our talents.
The Hello Foundation is committed to making a difference. We pride ourselves on identifying opportunities that make a difference within the community and the larger world. We are only limited by our own imaginations.
Our school district partners understand the power of quality service and choosing a team that dreams big. If we dream big for strangers, imagine what we do for the children we know.

Costa Rica 2008

We are committed to providing superior service to children.
Sometimes that happens a little farther away than our neighborhood school.
After a year of planning, a team of 10 speech pathologists flew to Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, to work in the region's school for children with disabilities.
The staff were so welcoming and thrilled to share and learn for the benefit of children. The school serves children from infancy thru young adulthood. We marveled at the skill and resourcefulness of every staff member. We were humbled by the efforts families made to transport children hours to attend school for the chance to learn.
We believe and hope our small efforts result in concentric circles of meaningful service and a foundation for continued growth and learning.
Most delightful? To hear in Spanish, Hello.
